Mission
OpenACAI is a Farmington nonprofit helping neighbors in St. Francois, Iron, and Madison Counties sort local resources, online forms, device problems, and practical next steps.
Practical support, not a maze.
People usually arrive with a deadline, a bill, a form, a device, or a question they cannot quite name. OpenACAI helps turn that pressure into the next call, document, referral, or plan.
Basic needs first
Food, WIC, housing pressure, utility help, benefits, and paperwork come before program language.
Technology that helps
Devices, accounts, documents, AI tools, and online forms are useful when they make the next step clearer.
Local follow-through
A printed list, a prepared question, a source link, or a referral can matter more than a long explanation.
Who OpenACAI serves
Local families, people facing housing instability, veterans, unemployed neighbors, small businesses with limited resources, and anyone blocked by forms, cost, or access barriers.
How the work is delivered
Through resource navigation, direct support, referrals, technology help, volunteer effort, and partnerships with people who know the service area.
What makes the approach different
The site and tools are built around what someone can do next: call, print, prepare, ask, send, or show up with the right document.
