One of our community members visited Aspen Dental after being told by a previous provider that no dental work was needed. However, Aspen Dental recommended two crowns and multiple fillings. The experience was distressing from the start. The dental assistant, who was new to dental care, mishandled the x-ray plate, causing cuts to the patient’s gums. She also distracted other staff, including the dentist, with unnecessary conversation.
The issues didn’t end there. The temporary crown was improperly made due to an incorrect dental imprint. When the permanent crown was installed, it fell out twice within a few months, causing significant distress and even a choking hazard. Despite following all care instructions, the patient was left with an exposed tooth for over six months. Aspen Dental has refused further treatment, citing insurance payment issues, and is now charging for a new crown due to their own mistakes.
